Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Top5HotDeals ("we", "us") collects and uses information when you visit top5hotdeals.shop (the "Site"). If you have questions, email [email protected].
1. Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, address or payment details. We collect limited information automatically:
- Usage and device data: pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location (country or city level, derived from your IP address), browser and device type, and referring website.
- Advertising click identifiers: if you arrive from a Google ad, the URL may contain a click identifier (such as "gclid"). We use it to measure whether our ads work.
- Information you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Advertising measurement: Google Ads (Google LLC) tags measure visits and clicks from our ads. Google's use of this data is described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Site analytics: Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) measures page visits, scrolling and which offers are clicked, using cookies such as "_ga". We use it in aggregate to improve our pages. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts visits without cookies.
- Remembering your choices: your browser stores your cookie-consent choice and, for your current visit, the ad click identifier.
Visitors in the UK, EU, EEA and Switzerland: advertising and analytics storage is off by default until you choose "Accept" in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of our comparison page, or by clearing cookies for this Site in your browser.
3. Affiliate links
When you click a link to a product or service, you leave our Site. To confirm that a visit or purchase came from us, the link passes a referral code and, where available, the ad click identifier to the affiliate network or provider. We do not share your name, email or payment details. The provider's own privacy policy applies once you are on its website, and any purchase is made with that provider, not with us.
4. How we use information
- To run, secure and improve the Site
- To measure the performance of our advertising and our affiliate partnerships
- To reply to your messages
- To comply with legal obligations
Where UK or EU data-protection law applies, we rely on your consent for advertising cookies, and on our legitimate interests for basic security, analytics and replying to messages.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with service providers that help us run the Site (hosting and security by Cloudflare; advertising measurement and analytics by Google; affiliate networks that track referrals) and when required by law.
6. Data retention
We keep emails for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Analytics and advertising data are kept according to the retention settings of the providers above.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. California residents may request to know or delete personal information; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. To make a request, email [email protected].
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, they use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
